A thank you from U14 Manager Matt Jeffrey

An exciting season for the KYL U14s, arguably not reflected fairly in the league points accumulated. The team has had to overcome untimely injuries and bouts of illness, but continues to train well, develop well and recruit well, with one eye on a more successful U15 campaign next year. There have been some memorable performances and the boys have learned lots along the way. They are hoping for a strong end to the season, before focusing efforts on the upcoming 2023/24 season.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the players, and the parents, for their support this year, as well as our kind kit sponsors:

The team’s training kit was provided by HEVER GROUP, a construction firm that specialises in brick and timber garden studios, including provision of luxury golf simulators. More info can be found at https://hevergroup.co.uk but the studios are highly recommended by squad members, and John and Pavel are sure to treat Millers fans favourably.

The team’s home kit was kindly sponsored by M’Arks Sky Bar. Located high above Eltham High Street, M’Arks is perfect for pre- or post-Cray Valley match refreshments - ranging from coffees to cocktails - as well as multiple dining options, as you “melt into the sky”. See the link for more information: https://marksskybar.com

As with all grassroots, youth football teams, the coaching and team management is largely provided on a voluntary basis, and the teams look to acquire new kit via the kind sponsorship of local businesses.

If anyone would like to enquire about full or partial sponsorship opportunities for next year’s U15s Kent Youth League team, please contact the club and ask to speak to Matt Jeffrey.

Apart from the feel good factor that comes with helping community football teams, a sponsored kit can also provide a fixed cost advertising opportunity for your business, and sponsorship expenses can be an allowable expense for tax deduction purposes.

For now, the boys will have a bit of a break, but will be back playing friendlies and preparing for next year’s campaign very, very soon.

Thanks for your support this year.
COYM!
Matt
