CRAY VALLEY (PM) FC – PEN PICS as at 30th October 2025

STEVE McKIMM (Manager)
Steve was appointed Cray Valley first team manager at the beginning of June 2023 bringing with him his assistant Barry Moore. They had worked together at Tonbridge Angels for eight years and the season before at Carshalton Athletic. The managerial duo of McKimm and Moore guided the Angels to an Isthmian League Premier Division play-off semi-final spot in 2015/16 before promotion to the National League South was secured via the Isthmian Premier play-offs in 2018/19. His first season at Valley brought immediate success winning the Isthmian South East Division. A knack for cup runs over the years, that same season saw Valley reach the FA Cup first round proper, going out to Charlton Athletic in a replay. Last season the clubs first at step 3 saw a fantastic 4th place finish and earned a play off semi final at Dartford only to suffer an agonising defeat in extra time.Shirt number in brackets

MANNY ADEBIYI (19)
Manny a central midfielder now age 25 joined Valley in October 2025. He was a product of the Watford Youth set up and last season made 46 appearances for Canvey Island winning their supporters player of the year award.

DAN AJAKAIYE (25)
Daniel Ajakaiye joined the Millers ahead of the start of season 2025/26. A striker, now age 28, Dan was at Horsham for the past three seasons making around 134 appearances scoring 43 times. A Bromley youth player he has also played for the likes of Whyteleafe, Kingstonian, Hastings United and Havant and Waterlooville.

IBBY AKBANI (23)
Ibby Akanbi a striker signed for the Millers in the summer 2025. Having played for Aveley and AFC Croydon Athletic the previous season, Ibby who celebrate his 28th birthday in July, brings with him a wealth of experience across various clubs in both the National League and National South.

KENNY ALIERU (11)
Kenny a wide player, now 27, joined Cray Valley (PM) in January 2025 from Aveley, scoring on his debut against Bognor Regis Town. Made 16 appearances scoring twice. He started his career in the Aldershot Town Youth academy set up and later went on to feature for Clapton and Phoenix Sports before joining Aveley in early December 2021 for whom he has made 104 appearances scoring 16 times.

MARCEL BARRINGTON (9)
Striker Marcel now 29 re-joined Valley in November 2023 from Erith & Belvedere. He originally became a Miller at the end of April 2021, making 44 appearances and scoring 24 times before joining then newly promoted Isthmian Premier side Herne Bay in July 2022 where he made 38 appearances scoring 16 goals. Earlier in his career netted twice in 5 international appearances for Guyana, and won promotion from the National League South with Braintree Town in 2017/18. His Cray Valley appearances now total 104 with 32 goals.

TOM BEERE (16) – Club Captain
Tom now 30 joined Valley after a short spell with Horsham at the start of October 2024, making 35 appearances, scoring 14 times. Voted last seasons supporters player of the year. The former Millwall trainee progressed through the Dons Academy and went on to make thirty first team appearances for AFC Wimbledon, scoring in the 2016/17 League Two Play-Off semi-final defeat of Accrington Stanley. Tom left Wimbledon in 2017 and dropped into non-league football, first with Hampton & Richmond with whom he’d had a spell on loan whilst with the Dons, and then the first of two spells at Tonbridge Angels. An experienced and combative midfielder, Tom has also played Isthmian League football for Leatherhead, Greenwich Borough, Kingstonian, Carshalton Athletic and Cray Wanderers.

SONNY BLACK (8)
Former Crystal Palace youngster Sonny joined The Millers in July 2022, winning Managers Player of the Year in his first season. He has now made 129 appearances for Valley scoring 16 goals. Now 29 the central midfielder joined from VCD Athletic and previously spent two seasons at Westfield after winning promotion from the Isthmian League South East Division with Walton Casuals in 2017/18.

DAN BOWRY (12)
The 27 year-old defender re-joins us from Lewes whom he joined in the summer having made 32 appearances and scored twice for the Millers in season 2024/25. Prior to that he was at St Albans City of the National League South. A youth player with Charlton Athletic he has also represented including loan spells Kingstonian, Hampton and Richmond Borough, Cheltenham Town, Bath City, Wealdstone, Kings Lynn and Worthing.
Dan's father Bobby was a professional footballer who played for Crystal Palace, Millwall and Colchester United among other clubs. His paternal grandparents were born in the Caribbean and this has allowed Dan the honour of representing the Antigua and Barbuda national football team on numerous occasions.

KURTIS CUMBERBATCH (5)
Joined the Millers in January 2025 from Hendon, where he made 55 appearances, scoring 4 goals. An experienced midfielder, now age 29, he is well known to Steve McKimm having played for him at Carshalton Athletic in season 2022/23. A former Charlton Athletic youth player Kurtis has played in both the National League and National League South during his career. Former clubs include Billericay Town, Slough Town, Dover Athletic, Farnborough, Harrow Borough, Welling United and Hadley.

MARVEL EKPITETA (15)
Marvel Ekpiteta joined from Aveley at the end of August 2025. A vastly experienced centre back just urned 30. Last season he was at Folkestone Invicta and the seasons prior to that Hayes and Yeading and Billericay Town. Whilst on the books at Newport County back in 2019 and 2020 he appeared on loan for Ebbsfleet Town and can count numerous other clubs along the way over the years.

DENZEL GAYLE (7)
Jamaican born Denzel now 31 years old is currently the club's longest serving player who up to the end of last season had made 289 appearances, scoring 65 goals since joining from Erith & Belvedere in 2017. A pacy right sided raider vice captain Denzel now has two championship medals for the Millers, adding the Isthmian South East 2023/24 to his SCEFL Premier one in 2018/19. He also appeared at Wembley in the FA Vase Final that season against Chertsey Town.

CROSSLEY LEMA (3)
Crossley 26 a defender joined towards the end of last season from Tonbridge Angels where he made 36 appearances scoring once. Crossley began his career through the youth ranks at Sutton United, before making a permanent move to Leatherhead in 2020. Subsequent clubs include Margate and Carshalton Athletic where he played under Steve McKimm winning the Robins player of the year award season 2022/23 making 46 appearances scoring 6 goals. He later joined Welling United for season 2023/24 where he played 40 times.

SHAUN PEART-ROWLEY (1)
Now age 28, Shaun joined the Millers in the summer of 2025 after three seasons at fellow Isthmian Premier side Cray Wanderers in which he made 147 appearances, 40 clean sheets and save for two matches a league ever present over that time. He was voted Supporters Player of the Year in both 2023 and 2025. Shaun came through the youth system at Shrewsbury Town turning professional in 2015. Whilst with the Shrews he went out on loan to Halesowen, Chorley and Tamworth then signing for Halifax Town in 2018. From here Shaun went on to Solihull Moors and Kettering Town before joining Matlock in September 2020 spending the latter part of the 2021-22 season with Carlton Town.

FUMNAYA SHOMOTUN (21)
Funmaya now 28 began his career at Barnet making his football league debut for them in 2014, going on to make around 20 first team appearances along with loan periods at Staines Town, Margate and Wealdstone before being released in 2019. After a short spell at Kingstonian he moved to Sevenoaks Town in October 2022 where he made 52 appearances, scoring 10 goals. In February 2024 he joined Dartford where he played 16 games scoring twice. He started the season at Tonbridge Angels before joining Valley in September and made 31 appearances scoring 4 times.

CEM TUMKAYA (6)
Versatile defender Cem now 27 made his Millers debut as a 16 year old. He missed a large part of last season through injury but has now amassed 274 appearances scoring 18 goals for the Millers. After a brief spell with Dulwich Hamlet two seasons ago he returned to the Artic Stadium and added a second championship winning medal to his collection. The isthmian South East 2034/24 being added to the SECEFL Premier one earned in season 2018/19. Cem also played at Wembley in the FA Vase final that same season.

MATTHEW VIGOR (10)
Matthew Vigor now 21 joined Valley in July 2023 from Crystal Palace a product of their academy appearing for their U18 and U21 sides. A creative central midfielder has now made 85 appearances for Valley scoring 21 goals. He has received the young player of the year award for the past two years. Season 2022/23 saw him undertake a five month loan spell with Isthmian Premier side Carshalton Athletic where he made 25 appearances scoring 5 goals.

DANNY WALDREN (17)
Versatile defensive midfielder now 36 with an eye for a goal who signed for Valley in Nov 2023 and went on to make 74 appearances scoring 20 goals. Joined from Beckenham Town where he was club captain and a member of their promotion winning side in 2021/22. He has also enjoyed promotion with two previous clubs Bromley, where he made 188 appearances, to the National League in 2014/15 and Billericay Town in 2017/18. Other past clubs include Dulwich Hamlet, Welling United and Romford. After a short period as player manager at his old club Beckenham Town he has now returned to Valley.

BARNEY WILLIAMS (2)
30 year old defender Barney joined the Club from Barking in May 2022 and has now made 127 appearances scoring 6 goals. In the Isthmian South East Championship winning season he picked up managers, players and supporters player of the year awards plus goal of the season. Made over 70 appearances in the National League for Welling United and Braintree early in his career, Barney also spent four successful seasons at Cray Wanderers – winning promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division in 2018/19.
