Welcome Stansfeld

Cray Valley (PM) would like to extend a warm welcome to Stansfeld Football Club whose first team will play at the Artic Stadium this season. They compete in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division.

They have been playing at Glebe FC for the past 7 years progressing from step 7 to step 5 and will be looking to progress the club further under their new partnership with ourselves. Chairman Ian Rooney will oversee things with manager Billy Shinners continuing for the coming 2024/25 season.

Cray Valley (PM) will of course have priority should there be any fixture clashes but I am sure both clubs and their respective leagues can work together to minimise any issues. It will mean that come 3pm most Saturdays the Artic Stadium and Badger Sports will be open for football.

Partly as a consequence unfortunately it does mean that Cray Valley (PM) will not be entering an U18 side in either the Isthmian Youth League or Kent Youth League Premier Division next season. This should ensure the pitch will have the best opportunity to remain in peak condition with just the first teams of Cray Valley (PM) and Stansfeld scheduled to play their home matches at the Artic Stadium.

Cray Valley (PM) will continue to run youth sides across various age groups with home games played either on pitch 2 at Badgers, Stationers' Crown Woods Academy or Camdale Road, Plumstead. We are pleased to announce that a new girls U15 side will be representing the club in the Junior Premier League for the first time.

Stansfeld themselves run various sides both adult and youth playing at different venues. The link between the two clubs is further enhanced with Steve Axam agreeing to manage the Stansfeld U23 side next season. Steve was of course the manager of Cray Valley PM KYL U18 side last season.

Good luck to all the sides under the Cray Valley (PM) and Stansfeld banner.
