The Club are sad to announce that Frank May, our chairman will be stepping down from his role at the club. Frank will be greatly missed although we hope he will continue to visit us and maybe stay involved in some way - he will certainly be most welcome.
Frank joined the Millers in January 2013, taking up the role of chairman with the club in the middle of its second season at step 5. On advising of his decision Frank said "I'm happy that I have played a small part in the club's journey, with the highlights, obviously, the promotions, the FA Vase Final at Wembley, and the trip to Charlton Athletic in the Cup. But for me, the standout moment was the FA Cup win at Maidenhead United. My reasons for leaving are purely personal, and I know the club is in safe hands and will continue to grow. I have made many friends through the club, and I wish nothing but the best for the club, and everyone connected with it for the future."
Frank has always been an excellent ambassador for the club - giving his support to the whole club, not just the first team. He also won plaudits as editor of our excellent match day programme which took considerable time and effort on his part in producing.
Frank, whilst tendering his resignation from all roles with immediate effect, has stated that he will be available to help in any way as the football club transitions towards a new Chair.
Jason Taylor our club secretary has announced that David Carter, current match secretary has agreed to be Acting Chair in the interim whist all options are considered. Richard Green will become match secretary, a role he is familiar with and assisted David at various times last season.
Thank you Frank - your time and contribution to the Club has been greatly appreciated, and we wish you well for the future.
