The Millers continue their pre-season by travelling to South West London where they will take on Raynes Park Vale for what will be their first ever visit.

Opponents history and the season ahead:
Raynes Park Vale was formed following the merger of Raynes Park and Malden Vale in 1995. Raynes Park FC originally was the Southern Railways Football Section (formed 1928) and were known as Southern Railway until they changed name to Raynes Park FC in 1964. Malden Vale FC was founded in 1967. The new merged club immediately joined the combined counties football league for the start of season 1995/96. Last season 2022/23 under manager Josh Gallagher they were champions of the Combined Counties League Premier Division South and promoted to play step 4 for the first time in the club's history. They kick off their league season in the Isthmian South Central division at home against Ascot United on the 12th August. The week before they are away at Isthmian South East side Merstham in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

Pre-Season:
This will be Raynes Park Vale's seventh pre-season game which has so far seen victories over Farnham Town at home 2-0 and Carshalton Athletic away 2-1. There have also been away draws at Tooting & Mitcham 1-1 and last Saturday Redhill 0-0. The two defeats have been in their opening game at home to Peacehaven & Telscombe 2-3 and away at Guildford City 0-2.

The Millers now embark on the final stage of their pre season before the opening league game at Sittingbourne on Saturday 12th August. Following the visit to Raynes Park Vale they have two home games against a Charlton Athletic U18 side on Tuesday and Isthmian premier side Dulwich Hamlet on 5th August.
