Match Preview:
Our first official pre-season fixture of 2026/27 will take place on Saturday against Petts Wood & Holmesdale who play in the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) Premier Division at step 5, finishing last season in 15th place. With their league season kicking off a week earlier on the 1st August they will have already undertaken three pre-season games come Saturday.

For the Millers it will be the first official opportunity for Kevin Lisbie and his team of some familiar and some new faces to take to the field following a number of training sessions. Tuesday evening saw a behind closed doors friendly take place on the 3G community pitch at Dartford against Phoenix Sports. It gave a chance for a number of trialists to show what they could do. The match ended 2-2. We will take a closer look at the make up of the squad in the previews of the forthcoming friendlies over the next couple of weeks.

Holmesdale 1956 FC and Petts Wood FC are proud to announce a landmark merger that will unite the strengths, history, and ambitions of both clubs under a new shared identity: Petts Wood & Holmesdale FC.
This partnership, which will take effect from the beginning of next season (2026-27), brings together two community driven clubs whose pathways naturally complement each other. Holmesdale 1956 FC, a senior side in the SCEFL with a long-standing presence in men’s senior football, and Petts Wood FC, one of the area’s most respected youth football organisations, will now operate as a single club with a complete player pathway from youth to senior level.

Petts Wood & Holmesdale FC is pleased to confirm the appointment of Andy Constable and Pete Nolan as our new joint First Team management team ahead of the 2026/27 season. Andy continues in the role after leading the side throughout the last campaign, providing stability on the pitch. He is joined by Pete Nolan, who arrives following an impressive spell at Sutton Athletic, where he guided the club to their highest-ever league finish. Pete also returns to familiar ground as a former Holmesdale 1956 FC player.
