A hugely entertaining game saw the visitors progress to the next round of the Kent Senior Cup. Both sides gave opportunities for some of their younger players from both U18 and U23's to gain some valuable experience.

In an evenly contested first half it was the Wings who took an early lead in the 12th minute, the ball, after being partially cleared from a corner, was put back low into the near post and seized upon by centre back Santino Norris to fire home from close range. The Millers then created numerous chances as they searched for an equaliser, Denzel Gayle had a header against the bar and Enoch Muwonge's effort from the rebound was blocked. Shortly after Muwonge and Mal Turner combined well and Turner's ball in found James Stewart in the centre of the goal but his shot was straight at the keeper. Harrison Chamberlain in the Valley goal then produced an excellent double save to deny the Wings.

The second half saw the visitors continue to look dangerous on the break and both Dan Vaughan and Will Benedict made last ditch tackles to thwart them. Following a plethora of changes around and just after the hour mark the Wings took control of the final phase of the game despite playing with only ten following an injury and having already used their four substitutes. They increased their lead on 74 minutes, substitute Nahum Melvin-Lambert the scorer, taking advantage of indecision in the Valley defence. Valley continued to create chances but it was Melvin-Lambert with his second that completed the scoring in the 90th minute, Chamberlain saving his first effort but he followed up to slam home the rebound.
