After what will be a full two week enforced break following the postponement of both the home Sevenoaks Town and the away East Grinstead Town fixtures, the Millers will be hoping to return to action at the Artic Stadium on Saturday when Hythe Town are the visitors. The Millers will be looking to regain ground on those clubs around them that were able to play and pick up points in the two weeks that have passed since beating league leaders Ramsgate 2-0 on the 7th January. This took the Millers unbeaten run to eleven games.

Following a 1-0 home defeat against Ramsgate on Boxing Day, visitors Hythe Town kicked off 2023 with two away trips the first of which ended in victory at Faversham Town and the second in defeat at Sheppey United both games settled by a single goal. The Cannons are currently in 13th place with 23 points. Top goalscorer for the Cannons in all competitions this season is Johan Caney-Bryan with 11 goals in 24 appearances.

Prior to their Sheppey game the Cannons announced the signing of two new strikers 21 year old James Jeffrey on dual registration from Whitstable Town and 24 year old Riley Asaam from Cray Valley (PM). Riley had limited opportunities with ourselves making just one full and five substitute appearances, we wish him well.

Earlier in the season the sides played out a 1-1 draw in difficult conditions after heavy rain in the build up to the game at Reachfields.

Looking ahead to the Artic Stadium on Saturday, at the beginning of the week it looked as if the rain would be the problem however following the cold snap it is now the ice and a possible frozen pitch that poses the biggest threat.
