The Millers make their first ever visit to The Sportsfield to play Littlehampton Town, the ground has been home to the club since the early 1900's. They currently share the ground with Littlehampton Cricket Club.

The sides met for the first time earlier this season in November when the points were shared in a 2-2 draw at the Artic Stadium. The Millers went ahead through Hassan Ibrahiym but goals from Lucas Pattenden and Joss Short gave the visitors a 2-1 lead at the interval. Denzel Gayle equalised in the 71st minute.

Littlehampton currently sit in 8th place with 32 points in this their first season at step 4 having finished as champions of the Southern Combination League last season. In an achievement that mirrored our own in 2018/19, they also reached the final of the FA Vase at Wembley losing 3-0 to Newport Pagnall Town.

Leading goalscorers for Littlehampton this season in all competitions are currently Devon Fender 10 and George Gaskin 8 both scoring in their 4-2 victory on Tuesday this week at home to Billingshurst in the third round of the Sussex Cup. Goals have certainly been a feature of their last three league games, a 5-1 home win against Corinthian followed by a 3-1 away win at Whitehawk. However they were brought back to earth with a bump suffering a 7-3 defeat at Sheppey United on Saturday.

The Millers go into the game on a 12 match unbeaten run after winning at home to Hythe Town 2-0 on Saturday. Leading goalscorers in all competitions are Daniel Bennett 14, Adam Coombes 10, Ade Adeyemo 7 and Denzel Gayle on 6. At the other end of the pitch Chris Lewington in goal and his defence have managed to keep a clean sheet in all of their last four league games. Confidence will undoubtedly be high but Tommy Osborne and his team will I am sure be fully aware that Littlehampton on their own patch will be keen to end the Millers unbeaten run.

(Car) Leave the A259 at The Body Shop Roundabout (at Shell garage) and turn south towards Littlehampton onto B2187 Horsham Road. Continue past the cemetery and at the Esso Garage (Cuff Miller) turn onto St Flora’s Road. The ground is at the corner of the junction with Church Street and Berry Lane. Limited parking is available in the Sportsman car park, or street parking is free on the surrounding roads.

Nearest Station: Littlehampton (15 min walk through the High Street and along Church Street to St Flora’s Road.)
