Tonight's game was originally scheduled to have been played on Saturday 14th January but was postponed due to the weather. My original preview back then spoke about the Millers beating Ramsgate last time out and extending an eleven match unbeaten run. Six weeks later and whilst it can mention Saturday's late winner from Sonny Black giving them a 2-1 victory over Lancing, this was their first in seven games of which six have ended in defeat. The team now find themselves in 8th place on 43 points from 27 games. The end of the winless run hopefully will have provided a much needed confidence boost as they head to the OHOB Community Stadium to play East Grinstead Town, in the first of three consecutive away league games.

Last season the venue witnessed a remarkable game between the two sides. The Millers dominated the opening ten minutes and were leading through a Jack Sammoutis goal, when the lights literally went out, as one end of the pitch was plunged into darkness. At that very moment the Wasps equalised at the other end. After a 28 minute beak whilst the floodlights were fixed play resumed and the Millers never regained the initiative as the Wasps ran out 5-3 winners to inflict what would be the Millers only defeat in their opening seventeen league games that season.

This season under manager Drew Cooney the Wasps currently sit in 12th place with 34 points from 27 games. Two new signings at the turn of the year include Charlie Greenwood from Merstham where he made 17 appearances in the Isthmian South Central this season, scoring 4 times and made thirty-five appearances for the Moatsiders in the Isthmian Premier last season. They have also welcomed back Ryan Green who left to join Corinthian Casuals in the Isthmian Premier after the first match of the season.

The Wasps enjoyed a five match unbeaten run from the beginning of February winning three of them by a solitary goal but have suffered defeats in their last two, 2-0 at Sittingbourne and 4-0 at home to Burgess Hill Town on Saturday. Their top goalscorer is Matthew Daniel with twelve followed by Tahjae Anderson on eight.

The sides met earlier this season at the Artic Stadium back in August with the Millers winning by the only goal of the game from Denzel Gayle.
