A solid three points on the road as the Millers make it two wins on the bounce as they look to return to form and climb back up the table towards those play off places. This victory moves them to seventh place with 46 points off 28 games, just one point below Ashford United and Sevenoaks Town in 5th and 6th place respectively.

It was the Wasps kicking towards the changing room end that got the game underway. Within the opening quarter of an hour Ade Adeyemo had hit the post twice and the rebound from his first effort was skied over the top by Adam Coombes from eight yards, It was though to be third time lucky in the 17th minute as Adeyemo collected Barney Williams throw in and slotted home from a tight angle to give the Millers the lead. No woodwork necessary.

The wasps then dominated the ball for a while and Andrew Briggs fired in a couple of shots from distance, the first over the top and the second straight at Chris Lewington in the Millers goal.

Just before the interval whilst temporary down to ten after Hassan Ibrahiym was forced to leave the field after taking a knock, the Millers doubled their lead. Thomas Chambers cross was headed home by Adam Coombes from the centre of the goal. Daniel Bennett replaced Ibrahim and was immediately in the action, his free kick deflecting wide of the post. At the other end The Wasps went close Chris Lewington spreading himself to deny Samuel Williams before Briggs slid the ball wide. HT 0-2

Within seven minutes of the re-start, the Millers pulled further ahead, Adeyemo sending Coombes through and he was brought down by the keeper. Coombes duly despatched the penalty.

From that point onwards the Wasps started to rack up the cautions, as Adeyemo was again fouled and by the end of the game they had received seven yellows in total. Various chances came and went at both ends but there were no further goals and it finished 0-3. The Millers can now look forward to the second of three successive away games when they visit Sittingbourne on Saturday.
