A dominant first half for the Millers finally unlocked the hosts defence with two excellent finishes three minutes apart just before the interval. Matty Vigor, Adam Coombes and Danny Waldren, making his Millers debut, all had shots on goal before Ademiluyi finally broke the deadlock in the 38th minute. A fine finish firing past Russell in goal from just inside the penalty area. The lead was quickly doubled after Coombes broke clear and as he held the ball up looking for support Kyrell Lisbie arrived to curl the lay off first time into the top corner, giving the keeper no chance.

After the interval the hosts showed more purpose, in this their third game on the newly laid Homelands 3G surface, and Tom Carlse saw his powerful long range effort fly just past Ovenden's post early on. However in a more even and competitive second half, the two keepers were rarely troubled as neither side created much in the way of goal scoring chances.

The Millers saw the game out and a solid performance sees them take the three points back down the M20, the win moving them into sixth place with 21 points from their opening 9 games and one point behind the Nuts & Bolts who are fifth with three games in hand.
