Match Report by Steve Chapman

A dominant second half performance against an injury hit East Grinsted side, ensured that the Millers continued to press Ramsgate for the automatic promotion slot. Millers manager Steve McKimm his team cast aside any superstitions or curses there may have been, perceived or otherwise after winning the Isthmian South East Vita Risk Solutions manager of the month award for January. The unbeaten league run now extends to 25 games.

The Millers had the majority of possession in a cagey first half and it took 29 minutes before Michael Ademiluyi latched on to a Kiki Oshilaja pass, who had advanced forward down the middle, to fire home past keeper Mattie Pierson from the edge of the six yard box to put the home side ahead

The second half was one way traffic as Cray continued to pressurise the Wasps make shift defence. Midfielder Matt Vigor extended the lead with a scorcher, a side footed volley into the top right hand corner, from the edge of the box in the 52 minute and Denzel Gayle made it 3-0 six minutes later, firing back across the goal into the roof of the net after Tom Chambers shot cum cross had found its way across the six yard box to him.

Jerson Dos Santos reduced the arrears in the 68 minute after Valley failed to clear their lines, before the impressive Danny Waldren completed the scoring in the final minute, firing low into the far corner after picking up Chambers cross into the middle. Freddie Parker came close on a number of occasions as he tried hard to get on the scoresheet towards the end but some wayward shooting and the keeper coming to the Wasps rescue with some good saves mean't it wasn't his day. That will change I am sure.

Next up is a trip to Burgess Hill Town on Tuesday evening and the fun continues.
