Match Preview:

Sheppey United nicknamed the Ites are managed by Ernie Batten. They were champions of the SCEFL in 2021/22 and finished 7th last season, their first in the Isthmian League at step 4. They fell just short in their pursuit of the play off's on a dramatic final day of the season, gaining a 2-2 draw against the Millers at the Artic Stadium, meaning both sides missed out. This season they currently sit in 8th place on 40 points from 27 games. Top goalscorer for the Ites is Dan Bradshaw with 13 followed by Jacob Lambert on 11.

Last Saturday they lost 3-4 at home to Sevenoaks Town with captain Richie Hamill receiving a red card following a second yellow so is likely to be missing this week. Their midweek game at Burgess Hill Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Holm Park of course now boasts a 3G surface so despite the recent seemingly constant rain we are all set to go ahead. With the Millers looking to extend their remarkable 100% league away win run this season, last Saturdays 3-1 victory at Erith & Belvedere was their thirteenth, it promises to be compelling viewing, hope to see you there!
