Match Preview:
The Millers will hoping this will be their final home game of the season and three points would go a long way to helping them achieve their title goal and thereby avoid the necessity to return to the Artic Stadium for a play off semi final on the 30th April 2024. Their regular season finishes with away trips to Hythe Town on Tuesday 23rd and Horndean on the 27th. As it stands assuming Ramsgate take maximum points from their final two games at Chichester City and then at home to Three Bridges, the Millers need 7 points from their final three games to clinch promotion as champions of the Isthmian South East Division.
Our Opponents.
Herne Bay nicknamed The Bay won promotion to the Isthmian Premier via the play off's in season 2021/22 but despite a late rally were relegated the following season, returning to the South East Division. Some upheaval behind the scenes at the end of last season by all accounts but are now managed by ex Gillingham boss Steve Lovell who has at least steadied the ship. After a run of 3 wins in 4 games they suffered a 2-1 defeat in the last outing at home to Sheppey United. Their push for a play off place has now just eluded them and they currently find themselves in 7th place on 58 points from 36 games. Their top goalscorer this season is Michael Salako on 24 (22 league 2 cup) followed by Kane Rowland on 12 and Gil Carvalho on 11.
