The Millers worked hard to secure the three points through a first half Tom Beere free kick into the top corner from just outside the box and Freddie Parker breaking away and unselfishly squaring to Andre Coker to tap home the second in the final minute of added time.

Whilst it was the Millers who were on top for much of the game and created chances throughout, Coombes, Parker and Asiedu all guilty of not finding the finish required, Bowers had their moments. Indeed it was Millers keeper Max Ovenden who was nominated man of the match for an assured performance between the sticks, dealing with the crosses when required and a couple of vital saves, using his legs to great effect, to block the shots and ensure a clean sheet.

Steve McKimm will be pleased with the three points and his decision to tweak the formation, playing three at the back plus wing backs and two up front, paid dividends. Next up on Saturday is a trip to league leaders Dover Athletic.
