The Millers succumbed to defeat through the only goal of the game in the 44th minute against Burgess Hill Town. George Vorster was the quickest to react after the initial corner kick wasn't cleared, firing home through a crowded penalty area from 12 yards out, low into the bottom far corner. It means the Millers have now gone eight games without a league win since a 3-2 victory at Potters Bar Town on the 20th September, albeit half of those games have taken a point.

It was a hard fought contest in at times difficult conditions with the rain pouring down on the newly laid 3G surface and the Millers will feel they deserved a point from the game. They thought they had taken the lead in the 34th minute when Rowan Liburd appeared to be first to the ball ahead of the Hillians keeper Roca Rees but the referee saw an infringement on the keeper, from what appeared to be the slightest of touches and blew his whistle to disallow the goal. A second disallowed goal followed shorty after the interval, an assistant's flag raised for what looked a very close offside decision as Matty Vigor raced through to collect a pass and slot home.

The Millers defended well with both young full backs excelling and veteran Danny Waldren who replaced the injured Dan Bowry in the 54th minute made a wonderful last ditch tackle in the box around the 70th minute to deny Hillians captain Kieran Rowe as he went through on goal. The Millers finished strongly but couldn't find an equaliser and the Hillians were delighted with their victory and the three points.
