It was Millers Joy at the Dripping Pan as a welcome three points were gained, a win at last following a run of eight defeats and two draws. The decisive moment came in the 82nd minute from a free kick out wide on the right five or six yards in from the touchline on the edge of the penalty area. Fumnaya Shomotun curled a low ball in with his left foot which evaded the close attentions of Dan Bowry, Mikise Evans along with the Lewes defender and keeper to find it's way into the back of the net at the far post. Cue scenes of Joy from the travelling Millers fans behind the goal.

Kevin Lisbie's team started the game brightly and were on top at the start. However Lewes came into the game as the half wore on and Millers keeper Prince Adegoke was called into action making a couple of vital saves. Not long before the interval Lewes Charlie Walker missed a good chance putting his shot wide of the target and new Millers loanee defender Alfie Newby from Colchester United showed his value when making a timely intervention to ensure it remained goal less at half time.

Captain on the day Danny Waldren put his head in the way in the 76th minute to deflect Bobby Unwin's shot over the cross bar as Lewes threatned before the games turning point six minutes later. The Millers were then able to see out the game to keep a clean sheet, securing the three points and now look forward to Tuesday evening when fellow strugglers Welling United visit the Artic Stadium in what promises to be a real battle.
