Chi's Go Wild as Millers collapse

Chichester scored four goals within 10 minutes to come from behind to inflict another home defeat against a struggling Millers side at the sun-drenched Artic Stadium.

Kevin Lisbie's team started the game positively and took the lead after 7 minutes when Fumaya Shomotun's cut in from the left and unleashed a shot which keeper Jasper Briggs got a hand to but couldn't prevent the ball crossing the line. The home side defended resolutely for the remainder of the first half to nullify any threat from the Chi.

Immediately after the interval Tom Beere chased down a short back pass and his shot rebounded off Briggs to Emmanual Adebiyi but the forwards lob bounced agonisingly the wrong side of the post. The visitors slowly pegged Valley back and were rewarded for their persistence in the 73rd minute when a deep corner from Rob Hutchings was tapped into an empty net by centre back Joe Clarke. Straight from the restart the hosts gave the ball away as Jimmy Wild robbed Sanchez Ming to cooly slot the ball past Prince Adegoke in the Valley goal. Wild doubled his tally four minutes later with another clinical finish before Isaac Bello completed the rout on the 83 minutes when he chipped Adegoke after the keeper and Clem Asiedu between them had failed to clear the ball.

The defeat leaves the hosts firmly in the relegation zone whilst Chichester consolidated their mid table position.
