No Mayne Attraction as Millers fail to impress. As the MIllers said a league goodbye to the Artic Stadium and hello to the newly named Mayne Arena, neither team did enough to break the deadlock in an evenly matched affair. It left both sides still seeking their first win of the season.

Clear cut opportunities were few and far between as both defences stifled any potential goal threats throughout the match. The lack of quality in the final third of the pitch from both sides was evident and acknowledged by both managers in their post match interviews.

The home side should have taken the lead early in the first half but the usually reliable veteran striker Chris Dickson failed to make contact on the ball following an excellent corner from Ollie Whitby. Aziz Sankoh made a good run at goal on the left flank before the interval but his shot was side netting. Valley defended well throughout with both Okoye and Ekpiteta making timely interceptions to help maintain the clean sheet.

Minutes into the second half Cray Valley's keeper Harrison Chamberlain made a fine save from the visitors only shot on target, whilst at the other end of the pitch Oaks stopper Harry Brooks dived to his left to push away Montel Agyemang's goal bound shot.
