BIG MATCH PREVIEW
SITTINGBOURNE v CRAY VALLEY (PM)
23 OCT 2021
PITCHING IN ISTHMIAN LEAGUE – SOUTH EAST DIVISION
By Richard J Green
2nd placed Valley return to the Kent coast on Saturday to face a Sittingbourne side themselves on the fringe of the promotion race.
With a 100% home record in the league this season, the Brickies were boosted earlier this week by the signing of former Sri Lanka international Marvin Hamilton to bolster a defence that has conceded nine times this season in front of former Millers favourite Joe Docherty.
At the other end of the pitch, Johan Caney-Bryan has been in top form with eight goals to his credit, while Ahmed Abdulla has hit the net five times.
Valley for their part will be heartened by an impressive showing from some of the Club’s youngsters in Wednesday night’s London Senior Cup triumph, while manager Kevin Watson will have been delighted to see Joe N’Guessen get another 30 minutes of competitive football under his belt.
