After defeat at Ashford United last weekend, Valley entertain one of the division’s form sides on Saturday when Jamie Crellin brings his Three Bridges team to The Artic Stadium.
Tuesday night’s five goal defeat to Premier division leaders Worthing in the Sussex Senior Cup aside, Bridges have accrued 13 points in their last six league matches - resulting in a rise from the fringes of the relegation battle to mid-table security.
This run saw them rewarded with the South East division’s “performance of the month” award for a 5-1 victory over Ashford United, as well as an impressive 3-2 win at promotion chasing Haywards Heath Town two weeks ago. Leading scorer Dan Parry has been in a particularly rich vein of form during this time, netting nine times – including four in the win against Ashford.

Defeat at Ashford last week brought an end to Valley’s own seven match unbeaten league run, and appears to hold a further price with defender Alex Brefo having to be withdrawn an hour into his comeback from a hamstring injury.

Two goals from Denzel Gayle, - supplemented by one from Hassan Ibrahiym – saw Valley to a 3-1 win when the sides met in the September sun in Sussex earlier in the season. More of the same on Saturday will do nicely for Kevin Watson’s Millers.
