Following two disappointing defeats in the league in the past week, Valley look to get their season back on track with an attractive looking tie in the London Senior Cup on Tuesday.
Local neighbours Welling United come to The Artic Stadium on the back of a chastening three goal defeat against St Albans City in the National League South on Saturday – continuing a run of five matches without a win since they despatched Fisher from the FA Cup in a replay.
Currently occupying a mid-table position in the league this season, The Wings have 19 points from their 12 games, with five wins to their credit.
With both sides looking for an upturn in recent fortunes, we anticipate two strong line-ups between Clubs who have lifted the prestigious trophy in recent years.
Welling United first lifted the London Senior Cup in 1989/90, before repeating the feat in 2018/19 - beating Brentford B 1-0 in the final.
Valley won the Cup in 2016/17, beating Met Police 2-1 in the final played at Dulwich Hamlet FC – becoming the lowest ranked side (Step 5) to win the trophy.

With no replays in the London Senior Cup, the tie will be settled on penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes on Tuesday.

The winners of the tie will entertain Charlton Athletic in the second round.
