Goals in the 23rd and 80th minutes bookended a resolute display from Leafe, with a defence superbly marshalled by Nathan Campbell.
Millers started on the front foot when Anthony Edgar put Denzil Gayle through to hit a powerful shot against McCarthy's left hand post. Leafe then took a grip on the game taking the lead courtesy of Corie Andrews' far post header from Matt O'Donoghue's cross. Whyteleafe continued to dominate the first half, with Walker saving twice in succession in the 37th minute.
Millers went close in the 70th minute with a succession of goalbound shots, before Antonio Walkr-Barth secured the tie with a left footed drive from 20 yards.
