New Manager - Welcome Kevin Lisbie

Cray Valley (PM) are delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Lisbie as the club's new first-team manager.

Lisbie returns to the club having previously featured as a player towards the end of his long professional career. He was part of the 2018/19 squad that played at Wembley Stadium in the final of the FA Vase and won the SCEFL Premier Division title.

Lisbie scored 26 goals in 36 appearances that season, and a further 32 goals in 34 appearances the season before. In total, he has 60 goals in 80 appearances for the Millers.

Elsewhere in his playing career, he appeared 176 times over 11 years for Charlton Athletic, with perhaps his highlight moment being a hat-trick against Liverpool in the Premier League in September 2003.

He also featured for the likes of Colchester United, Ipswich Town and Leyton Orient in his playing career, as well as a handful of loan deals in the EFL, while also representing the Jamaican national team on 10 occasions, scoring twice.

The Cray Valley (PM) job is Lisbie's first managerial role, but he has been prominent working in the coaching scene for a number of years.

His association with Cray Valley extends to his family, thanks to his children. Kyrell Lisbie was Young Player of the Year for the Millers before moving up the pyramid, where he now plays for Peterborough United. His twin brother Kyreece, now at Colchester United in League Two, also featured for Cray Valley.

Lisbie's youngest son, Kaion, played a couple of times for the Millers in pre-season before also securing a move to Colchester United.

Joining Lisbie on the sidelines is Solomon Taiwo, a professional in his own right, having played for Dagenham & Redbridge, Cardiff City, Luton Town and more.

Kevin and Sol's first game is this weekend's crucial trip to Canvey Island. Their first home game will be on Saturday 21st February against Dulwich Hamlet.

Everyone at the club is delighted to welcome Kevin and Sol to the Artic Stadium.
