A big welcome to Thomas Beere who has joined the Millers making his debut coming on as a second half substitute in yesterday's 3-1 FA Trophy victory at Ramsgate. He played for Steve McKimm at both Tonbridge Angels and Carshalton Athletic. In fact he was a member of the Robins team that beat the Millers in the FA Trophy almost two years ago to the day, scoring one of the penalties in their 5-4 shootout win with the scores having finished level at 2-2 after 90 minutes.
Tom now 29 joins the Millers after a short spell with Horsham. The former Millwall trainee progressed through the Dons Academy and went on to make thirty first team appearances for AFC Wimbledon, scoring in the 2016/17 League Two Play-Off semi-final defeat of Accrington Stanley. Tom left Wimbledon in 2017 and dropped into non-league football, first with Hampton & Richmond with whom he’d had a spell on loan whilst with the Dons, and then the first of two spells at Tonbridge Angels. An experienced and combative midfielder, Tom has also played Isthmian League football for Leatherhead, Greenwich Borough, Kingstonian, Carshalton Athletic and Cray Wanderers.
