Focus this week is on our Girls team, who have had a tough start to the season. The JPL is a very competitive league but judged on their spirited performance against Leyton Orient they are beginning to gel more as a team. Despite losing 4-3, with a bit more luck they could have at least drawn the match. Grace, Kacy and Rebecca scored our goals. Our JPL U16's boys team suffered a 3-1 defeat against Sutton.

In the Kent Youth League, all 3 of our sides had convincing wins. Rob's U16's inflicted Folkestone's first defeat of the season with an emphatic 6-1 victory in the League cup. Filip Valis(2),Yaakoub Chekhchoukh, Harry Hughes (2) Juan Taylor made up the score sheet. Goals from King (2), Harry and Loui gave Aaron's U13's a ticket into the next round with a 4-0 away win at Kennington, who they face again in the Kent cup next weekend. In the league, the U14's are sitting nicely in 4th, with games in hand on the teams above them. They thrashed bottom side Sevenoaks 9-0 with Abdoul netting four, Nipun a hat trick and Ronny and Kyle the other two.

There won't be any London cup finals for our sides this season. Our U18's rued conceding two early goals because they more than matched Beckenham Town but ended up losing 3-1. Our 16's faced a strong Broomwood outfit and weren't helped by a number of defensive errors in the first half. They gifted their opposition several goals and ended up losing 8-0. Elsewhere, there were wins for our U8X and U10X. The Selkent league don't permit league tables for these age groups so we just have to get satisfaction from their performances and encouraging results. Mat's U12's suffered their first defeat at the hands of Metrogas but they are still well placed in the A division.
