The Millers kicked off their pre-season campaign edging their hosts with a late winner as the new bright "third" orange kit made it's debut on a lovely summer's evening against Epsom & Ewell at Cobham FC.

A competitive match gave both sides a useful run out as they looked to get minutes in the legs. For the Millers it was a chance to see a few new faces in action for the first time with Steve McKimm utilising his full squad along with a few trialists allowing him to bring on ten different outfield players for the second half.

It was the hosts who took the lead in the 8th minute an excellent free kick from Tom Collins from the edge of the box, up and over the wall, giving the keeper no chance. The Millers drew level not long after, Tom Beere's corner met by a powerful header from Rueben. The Millers enjoyed the best of the opening half going close on a number of occasions.

Second half was more even and Shaun Rowley made a good save just before Fumnaya Shomotun scored late on, firing home in a crowded penalty area to give the Millers a 2-1 victory.
