This was the second run out for the Millers and despite the defeat the general feeling amongst those present was one of encouraging signs as the team starts to come together. With the visitors looking well organised and sharp the Millers held their own in an even first half before going behind, conceding a penalty in the 42nd minute.

The U's extended their lead within a minute of the re-start, many missing the goal as they finished their half time cup of tea. The Millers though continued to put together some passes and were rewarded in the 55th minute when Mal Turner pulled a goal back with an excellent low strike into the bottom corner of the net form the edge of the box. Denzel Gale went close as they looked for an equaliser, the keeper making a good save to maintain the slender lead.
