A good game with the Wands taking the spoils in 'Clay Clasico' with two first half goals. The hosts took the lead in the 7th minute Alex Hernandez curling a shot high into the net from a free kick. the lead was doubled just before the interval, following good work on the left by ex-Miller Ade Yusuff whose cross shot appeared to deflect off a Valley defender for an own goal.

Valley enjoyed plenty of possession in the second half and forced Wands keeper Henry Molyneux into making a couple of excellent saves. More minutes in the legs and a good run out as the saying goes pre-season.
