The game was settled by the only goal of the game in the 7th minute, a stunning strike from Leafe's Ryan Gondah from just outside the box into the top corner. Valley's best chance of the first half came four minuted before the interval with Leaf's keeper tipping a well hit shot over the bar.

The second half saw Valley keeper Prince Adegoke called into action making a couple of good saves and having to be alert to intercept the through ball. Valley went close towards the end of the game forcing a couple of corners but was unable to take advantage.

Leafe including ex-Millers Matty Warren and Dan Bennett looked good at times with Valley battling well throughout.
