Match Preview:
The Emirates FA Cup takes centre stage this Saturday as we welcome AFC Greenwich Borough to the newly named Maine Arena in the Preliminary Round.
Local bragging rights and a place in the next round on the line. A FA Cup SE9 Derby!

Should a replay be needed (scores level after normal time) then this will take place on Tuesday 25th August at Oakley Road, Petts Wood & Holmesdale FC kick off 19.45.

Club History
AFC Greenwich Borough entered senior football for the Southern Counties East Football League First Division ahead of the 2025/26 season. Under the management of Reece Parara, Borough enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign, winning the league title at the first attempt to secure promotion to the Premier Division.Following that historic success, the club enters another exciting new chapter in 2026/27. Tony Russell has taken over as first team manager as AFC Greenwich Borough prepares for its first season at Step 5, while also making its debut in both the FA Cup and FA Vase.

This season
In the SCEFL Premier League a 2-1 victory was achieved at Erith & Belvedere in their opening game followed by a 1-1 draw at Beckenham Town on Tuesday evening. Last Saturday they progressed in the FA Vase winning their debut game in the competition beating Shearwater 3-0, the game played at the ground of Petts Wood & Holmesdale FC where they played home games last season. Their new permanent home ground at GB10 Sports, Footscray Road, Eltham has been continually improved over the past year and will shortly be ready for first team games to be played there.

Their first ever FA Cup campaign saw them make the trip to Isthmian South East side Broadbridge Heath on Saturday 8th August. A 74th minute goal from Oluwatomisin Obilana saw them win 1-0 and set up today's game.
