Match preview:

Sittingbourne nicknamed 'The Brickies" have started the season well, currently they sit in 4th place on 32 points form 16 games. Valley are 3rd one point ahead on 33 from 13 games. The Brickies shared the points in their Boxing Day game away at Sheppey United which finished 3-3. They are managed by ex- Braintree Town manager Ryan Maxwell who was appointed in January 2023. Top goalscorer this season in all competitions is Chris Harris on 8 followed by Jean-Baptiste Fischer with 6. Ayman El-Moghaebel, Bagusan Graham and D'Shsun Theobalds have all scored 4.

The two sides met in the opening game of the season with Adam Coombes scoring a late winner which saw the Millers win 3-2 at Woodstock Park. Since the cup exits against Charlton Athletic and Hampton & Richmond the Millers have won six of their seven league games, the other being the 1-1 draw at home to league leaders Ramsgate. Steve McKimm has a few player injury concerns following the Boxing Day victory against Phoenix Sports. One good piece of news though is the imminent return of Lyle Della-Verde who has now returned to full training following his injury at the end of August.
