Our opponents
Chichester City are now in their fifth season in the Isthmian South East (including the two curtailed by covid) having gained promotion to step 4 by winning the Southern Combination Premier Division in season 2018/19. The following season they reached the second round proper of the FA Cup losing to Tranmere Rovers.
They started this season playing home games at the ground of local rivals Bognor Regis Town FC whilst a new 3G pitch, to replace the previous grass one, was being laid at Oaklands Park. They returned just before Christmas and of course we visited there last month on a Tuesday evening winning 3-0. See below for more details.
They currently sit in 7th place on 37 points after 25 games. Since we played them on 23rd January they lost 3-2 at Three Bridges although fared better at home drawing 1-1 with Mertsham and beating East Grinstead Town 7-1 last Saturday.
City are managed by long serving Miles Rutherford who has been at the club since 2015. Their top goalscorer in all competitions this season is Ethan Prichard on 13 (also their top goalscorer last season with 18) followed by Josh Clack on 8 with both Isaac Bello and Conrad Honoreon 7.
The Millers
Manager Steve McKimm will have virtually a full squad to select from with just Cem Tumkaya out with an ankle injury and long term injury absentee Jensen Grant likely to be missing. Last season saw Chichester City take all three points from the game at the Artic Stadium with the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute from Lloyd Rowlett.
