Hythe Town nicknamed The Cannons are managed by Steven Watt. Last season they took advantage of the Millers and the Ites sharing the points on the final Saturday of the season to leapfrog both clubs and claim the final play off spot by finishing n 5th place having themselves beaten Haywards Heath Town 4-0 that same afternoon. They went on to beat Ramsgate 4-3 on penalties after it finished 1-1 aet in the play off semi final the following Tuesday evening. Three days later on the Friday they lost 1-0 to Whitehawk in the final.

This season they currently sit in 7th place on 43 points having played just 27 games, less than all the teams above and just below them. They are playing catch up having suffered a number of postponements in the main due to their pitch being waterlogged. After a 1-1 draw at home to Three Bridges on Saturday they played twice in midweek, a 3-2 away win at East Grinstead on Tuesday but then suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Beckenham Town on Thursday. Their top goalscorer in all competitions is Johan Caney-Bryan with 18 followed by Jake Embery on 11 and Aaron Barnes on 10.

The Millers:
Following Tuesday's 6-0 thumping of Beckenham Town, the Millers regained top spot and hold a point lead over Ramsgate, both teams have 8 games to play. For whatever reason wins haven't been as easy to achieve at the Artic Stadium with 7 victories, 7 draws and 1 defeat in their 15 games to date. This is in contrast to their record on the road which now boasts 15 victories in their 15 games.

Steve McKimm demonstrated the strength of the squad by making changes midweek, some enforced, others by choice. It will be interesting to see who he decides upon to start on Saturday, he is certainly spoilt for choice. It promises to be compelling, hope to see you there on what is classed as an official "Non League Day".
