Burgess Hill Town nicknamed The Hillians returned to the Isthmian Premier after an absence of six seasons having been relegated to the South east division in season 2018/19. After securing a play off spot finishing 3rd they went on to beat Margate 2-0 in the semi-final and Sittingborne on penalties after it finished 1-1 after extra time to gain promotion.

Tonight’s fixture was originally announced with the Hillians at home, however, the decision was made to reverse the fixture due to the installation of a new 3G pitch at Leylands Park which is not expected to be ready until next month. We look forward to our visit there later in the year.

The Hillians got off to a winning start on Saturday with an away win against Potters Bar Town, the only goal of the game coming in the 69th minute from Chris Whelpdale. By contrast the Millers suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Carshalton Athletic. Steve McKimm and his team will be looking to bounce back. It promises to be compelling. Hope to see you there!
