Match Preview:
The Millers trip to the South Coast comes on the back of two home defeats and as such the focus will be very much on getting the season back on track. It is a venue which hasn't been kind to the Millers having lost the three of the four league games played there all 2-0. Their solitary point coming in season 2021/22 in a 1-1 draw, Hassan Ibrahiym with our goal. Last season did see them gain their first victory against the Hawks at the 8th attempt, in the home game at the Artic Stadium in April winning 3-0 with goals from Matty Vigor and two from Kiki Oshilaja.
Two players definitely missing on Saturday will be Crossley Lema serving the final game of his three match suspension following his sending off at the end of last season in the play off semi final at Dartford and Barney Williams who received a one match suspension for his red card last Saturday against Carshalton Athletic. Steve McKimm was able to bring in extra resources during the week with central defender Frankie-Jay Moralee joining on a month's loan from Bromley and Liam Moore a midfielder on a loan arrangement from Sutton United both making their debuts against Burgess Hill Town.
Whitehawk started their season at newly promoted Ramsgate last Saturday losing 3-2 with the Rams winner coming in the 95th minute. They followed this by picking up their first point at home on Tuesday evening against Chichester City, the game ended goalless.
With both sides looking for their first win of the season it promises to be compelling, hope to see you there!
