Match preview:
The Hamlet currently sit in 13th place on 37 points from 29 games. The form guide shows they have taken 7 points from their last six games the last three of which have been against the top three sides. A 2-0 win away at Brentwood Town was followed by a 2-1 defeat at Aveley and last Saturday a 2-0 home defeat against league leaders Folkestone Invicta. Top league goalscorer is Luke Wanadio on 9. A regular in the Hamlet side this season is Tom Chambers who of course is a familiar face and member of the Millers 100 Club having appeared 100 times scoring 7 times over 3 seasons between 2022 and 2025.
For the Millers it is of course new manager Kevin Lisbie and coach Solomon Taiwo first home game in charge. An encouraging start last week at Canvey Island and it was great to see everyone giving them their full backing. The players put in a committed performance showing great character after going two down in just nine minutes, parity was restored by the interval with goals from on loan Makise Evans and Fumnaya Shomotun. The Millers looked the more likely to go on and win the game but in the event it was a vital point earned. They currently sit in 19th place on 28 points from 30 games. It is now 9 games since their last win 4-1 at home to Wingate & Finchley on the 13th December, 29 goals conceded in that time. Twelve games to go starting today to put things right and move out of the bottom four and away from the relegation zone.
