A combination of the schools half term and match postponements, as a result of sodden pitches meant a much reduced fixture list this weekend. Despite the wet conditions a number of games were staged, mainly where teams had a 3G all-weather surface.

In the Kent Youth League, our U13's continued to apply the pressure on Bromley. They beat Welling 3-2 and moved within a point of the league leaders. Elsewhere, Skin's U15's are still looking for that elusive for league win, succumbing to a 6-0 away defeat to local rivals Metrogas. The U14's were in League cup action but were beaten at home 3-0 by a strong Tonbridge Angels side so they can now focus their attention on the league.

Only three fixtures went ahead in the Selkent but all 3 of our sides managed victories. Arron Bell's U21's continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 7-0 thrashing of Junior Reds. They remain top of Division 2 after four matches and no one was more pleased than goalkeeper Connor Higgins. After letting a late goal in last weekend against Bridon Ropes, he managed to keep a clean sheet this time round. Next up is a London Cup match against Beckenham Town, where they will be looking to avenge their Quarter final defeat in the competition last season. After two successive draws in the league, Mark Hemmings U13's (Black) managed to secure their first league win on the season beating Blackheath Rhinos 5-3, with goals from Jack (4) and Georgie. They remain unbeaten and with the Selkent still only awarding two points for a win, they are in touch of the early pacesetters. In the only other match, Matt Mundy's U12's beat bottom side Regans 6-2 to continue their fine start in the A Division.

In the JPL, Rob's injury hit U16's side lost 1-0 to Dartford in a game that could have gone either way, whilst the Girls suffered a narrow defeat 3-2 away at Billericay Town. The home side scored their winner deep into added time after we had a goal disallowed. A really encouraging performance though and hopefully, they will be back to winning ways soon.
