Match Preview:
The DFDS Kent Senior Cup is open to Kent Step 4 sides and above along with the winners of the previous seasons Kent Senior Trophy which is how Step 5 SCEFL Premier Division Punjab United qualified for this seasons competition. They beat Deal Town 6-0 in the final back in April.

In the first round Punjab United overcame Erith & Belvedere winning 1-0 through a Youssouf Bamba goal and Cray Valley (PM) progressed beating a young Ramsgate side 7-1 at the Southwood Stadium. An Adam Coombes hat trick, Julien Anau, Cemil Tumkaka, Freddie Parker and U18 Isthmian Youth team player Victor Danyanov with the goals.

Punjab are currently sitting in 6th place in the league on 18 points from 12 games. Valley remain unbeaten so far this season in 15 games, 3 in the league and 12 across three different cup competitions. It will be interesting to see how Steve Mckimm shuffles the pack and is expected to go with a mix of experience and youth, which proved successful at Ramsgate in the last round.

Previous Meetings
Punjab have a number of players with connections to past Millers teams, regulars Chris Edwards and Lea Dawson were both part of the SCEFL winning side in 2018/19. In addition Paul Vines, Sam Bailey and Michael Hagan who have also featured this season are former Millers.

The sides have met twice competitively in our promotion winning SCEFL season in 2018/19 drawing 4-4 at home and the Millers winning away in April 2019 2-0 with goals from Gavin Tomlin and Anthony Edgar. They also met in a pre season friendly back in July of this year, Valley winning that one 2-1 with goals from Michael Adeniluyi and Freddie Parker. Wayne Bushell pulled a goal back for Punjab near the end.
