Week 4 finally saw the commencement of the Selkent league campaign. We welcome several new sides this season and two of these teams had positive first day results. Without the assistance of Demi Higgins, who was suspiciously stranded in Vegas, Karl led his U11's to a 2-0 victory against Blackheath Rhinos with Harrison scoring both goals. Matt Mundy's started their A Division season with an enthralling 3-3 draw with SE Dons. Our other new side are the U8X, who are playing up a year, hence the 'X'. Paul's team lost both of their games by the odd goal. Our Seniors, who are all under 18's but play in an Under 21 league, managed a fine away 3-2 away win at Instead Colts. Charlie Fulks grabbed a brace and Josh the other goal.

The Kent Youth League is well underway and Matt Jeffrey's U18's have become the early pacesetters with 3 successive victories. They stormed into a 4 goal half time lead against Stanfield with goals from TJ Dros (2), Hudson Bishop (yes son of Cray Valley legend Tony Bishop) and Prince before taking their feet off the peddle in the second half. The final score was 4-2.

Our 16's blew Dulwich Village away hitting seven past them to continue their impressive start to the season. Juan Taylor and centre back Harry Odium both scored two each and Lewis Morgan, Seb Matthews and an own goal completed the rout. The U14's kick started their league campaign with a 3-1 a well earned 3-1 away win at Old Wilsonians with goals from Corben and Abdoul. Unfortunately , our U15's and U13's succumbed to defeats against Tonbridge Angels and Bromley respectfully.

Meanwhile, our three JPL sides, that play on Saturday's, all had frustrating afternoons. Kingleigh's Championship side went 2-0 up at the Bauvill Stadium against Chatham with goals from Chin and Jovan. They were in complete control but the Chats levelled the scores with two fantastic strikes. The game could have gone either way but it was home side they managed to nick the winner and the 3 points.
Our Premier side suffered the same fate away at Woking. Despite Kingsley and Juan Taylor scoring two great goals we managed to concede three to lose 3-2. Our girls are still finding their feet with a new look side and whilst there are encouraging signs they could not prevent a heavy defeat against Brentford.

Overall, an encouraging, exciting and enjoyable start to the Youth sections season.
